Our Story

Our Mission Statement

We created K&E Collaborative to empower our community to stay curious and invested in the future of our planet.

Our Story

K&E Collaborative was founded as part of the journey to self publish a non-fiction children’s book, The Mother of Monterey Canyon. The underlying idea is to also encourage and educate the community about living sustainably. Katherine is a co-owner and the author of, The Mother of Monterey Canyon. She is a teacher, mother and energetic member of our planet. She looks for ways to reduce her family’s carbon footprint and hopes to teach others to do the same. Emily is a co-owner and the illustrator of the fabulous book. She has always had a deep love for the natural environment and animals who habitat these areas. Her goal is to make small positive changes daily, because she knows these add up for our planet. She also loves to encourage others to do the same. And don't even get her going on composting for the home.

We are all learning to do things in a better way all the time. Come along for the ride!
